inMy instructor at A&P school in Phoenix swore you could seat a tire bead with a shot of starting fluid, but I tried it on a Cessna 172 last week and nearly jumped out of my skin when the flash was way bigger than expected.
My old boss in Tucson showed me that trick on a semi truck tire. It worked, but the BOOM was so loud it set off a car alarm across the lot. @parker_patel84 is right, the mix is everything.

inStopped by a friend's place in Austin and their door hinge fix was so clever
My back door at my old house in San Antonio did the exact same thing. I fought with it for two years, trying to adjust the strike plate and everything. I finally watched a YouTube video that showed the washer trick. I used two thin washers stacked on the bottom hinge, and it was like magic. It's crazy how such a small piece of metal can solve a problem that feels so big. I tell everyone about it now.
