Bringing up the Delphi murders at a wedding reception was a huge mistake
I was at my cousin's wedding last weekend, and during the reception, I got talking with a group of her friends. We were all making small talk, you know, about jobs and stuff, and I mentioned I like looking into unsolved cases online. Someone asked which one, and without thinking, I started explaining the Delphi murders and the new evidence (like the bridge guy photos). The table went dead quiet, and one person just stared at their plate. Turns out, one of them had family near there and found it really upsetting to hear about at a happy event. I felt so bad, and it totally killed the mood for like ten minutes. So, a word to the wise: maybe save the true crime deep dives for your online forums, not real-life parties. (I'm still cringing thinking about it.)
