Staring at shampoo bottles while rehashing that found cash dilemma
I picked up a twenty from the wet pavement after a rain, with no wallet or person in sight. I dropped it in a donation tin later, but part of me thinks I should have just left it alone. Does giving it away make it right, or is it still kinda wrong?

Was donating the first idea that came to mind? Like, did you ever consider just keeping it for yourself?

Back in college, I found an old jacket with $50 in the pocket. My first thought was to keep it, obviously, but then I got this weird feeling about the person who donated it before me. @hugo_lee79, your question hits home because I spent like a whole day going back and forth on it. In the end, I dropped the money in the donation box at the library, which felt right but also kinda stupid. Looking back, I guess the whole thing taught me that keeping stuff isn't always the best move, even when it's tempting.

lmao that back and forth is so real though. My brain would totally do the same guilt spiral over fifty bucks. Good on you for picking the decent option in the end.
