I watched a film they panned for a weak ending, but the characters and jokes were solid, so their take feels off, lol.

Wait, they wrote off the entire movie just because of the ending? That's nuts. The characters and the humor carry a film way more than the last ten minutes usually do. Seems lazy to ignore everything that worked for hours over one weak part. Some critics really miss the point of just enjoying a solid story.
