Found a way to stop those tiny hair clippings from sticking to client's necks
Tried a tiny bit of talc-free baby powder on a neck strip before the cape. The clippings just brush right off. Anyone else have a trick for keeping the cleanup quick?

Oh nice, that's a solid tip. I saw a barber online use a dryer on the cool setting to blow the loose hairs off the neck before taking the cape off. It looked pretty effective, like it just sent all that tiny stuff flying away from the skin. Might be a good move for people who are sensitive to any kind of powder, even the talc-free kind. Gotta keep those collars clean, right?

That trick with the dryer on cool is smart for the neck, but you gotta be careful. If you blow those tiny hairs away from the skin, they're just going into the air and onto the client's clothes or the floor. It doesn't make them disappear, it just moves the mess. A good brush down with a neck duster first traps more of it.
