Warning: Cooling glass fast caused endless cracks for me

I did a batch of twelve small bowls and cooled them on the counter. Eight cracked before morning. That forced me to look up a proper kiln schedule. I started with a simple one from a glass forum, like hold at 950 for thirty minutes then drop ten degrees per minute to room temp. Tried that and only lost one piece. Then I tweaked it slower, like five degrees per minute after 700 degrees. Last seven pieces came out perfect with no cracks at all.

That solar panel install I thought would take a weekend took 4 months

Man, that's rough. A structural review for a 400 watt porch setup? I bet the inspector showed up in a hard hat and a clipboard like he was inspecting a skyscraper. At that point you might as well have installed a whole damn solar farm just to get your money's worth out of the permit fees.

Vent: I saw a client's hair go from fried to healthy in 3 months just by ditching heat styling, but is that really sustainable for most people?

Honestly, I'm with you on this. I've seen the same thing with a few of my own friends who went cold turkey on heat and their hair looked incredible, but they pretty much gave up on having any kind of styled look for months. @kaiharris made a good point about the towel turban and oil, that low maintenance approach is probably the only way it sticks long term. I just think the whole "no heat ever" standard we see online sets people up to feel bad about normal life choices, like rushing out the door with damp hair in winter. It's a trade off for sure, and I'm not sure most people are willing to lose the versatility for perfect ends. Do you think there's a middle ground that actually works for most folks?

My first draft had two endings and I picked the wrong one

Yeah I trashed a whole ending after someone pointed out it made my main character look like a jerk.

Tried using a 3D printed bracket for a motion sensor in a client's garage and it melted from the summer heat in Phoenix.

Wait, 118 degrees? That's not just hot, that's melt-your-face-off hot...
