Tried designing a logo with just Canva versus sketching it out first and the difference was huge
I made a logo for a friend's coffee shop in Denver and rushed it with a Canva template, which looked fine but generic. Then I spent an hour just drawing rough ideas on paper first, and the final version had way more character and fit the brand better. Has anyone else found that skipping the sketch phase makes your work feel less original?

Canva's fine, but sketching first is overrated lol.

My art teacher in high school made us sketch for two weeks before touching any digital tools. Honestly that foundation is the only reason my Canva stuff looks halfway decent now. Tbh skipping the sketch feels like building a house without a floor plan.
