Hot take: that guy at the bike co-op who told me to stop using WD-40 on my chain was totally wrong

Switched to a Teflon based lube after my shop guy yelled at me about WD-40 and my chain lasted way longer before stretching out. @the_brian the real problem was WD-40 is a degreaser not a lubricant, so it actually stripped all the factory grease off the rollers. Now I just use the $8 bottle of Finish Line stuff and it works way better in wet weather too.
