My first draft had two endings and I picked the wrong one
I was writing a short story about a woman finding her dad's old truck. I had two endings: one where she sells it for a trip, and one where she fixes it up. My friends kept saying the selling ending was more realistic, so I went with that. But after reading it at my writing group, someone named Linda pointed out the fix-up ending matched the hopeful tone I built earlier. Now I'm rewriting the whole last page. Has anyone else had to scrap an ending after getting feedback?

Yeah I trashed a whole ending after someone pointed out it made my main character look like a jerk.

And then you start second-guessing every other scene too, @mark49, wondering if you accidentally wrote them as a complete tool. One beta reader can really mess with your head.
