My neighbor swore duct tape would fix my dripping faucet for good
He said just wrap it tight around the base and it'll seal right up, so I tried it and now I've got a sticky puddle every morning for three days. Has anyone else had a supposedly quick fix turn into a bigger mess than the original problem?

My buddy Marcus tried the "just tape it" approach on his shower head last year. Ended up with tape residue all over the chrome and a leak that somehow got worse than before, water spraying everywhere when he turned it on. He spent a whole Saturday trying to scrub that sticky gunk off with Goo Gone and a toothbrush. Finally just replaced the whole thing for like 15 bucks at the hardware store, lesson learned pretty hard.
