Changed my mind about asking for help after a simple question took me two days

Man, why do CSV exports always mess up the date format? I've had to fix that exact thing before... ended up writing a tiny script just to clean it up. Next time, try exporting as JSON first if you can, it usually keeps the structure better. That one-line fix is always out there, but finding it feels impossible sometimes.

This guy at the coffee shop was ranting about his new phone's battery life

Honestly, I used to just trust the official battery ratings. But last year I tracked my own actual use for a week, writing down when I charged and what I did. It was a huge wake-up call. My daily mix of apps and weak signal drained it way faster than any lab test. Now I only trust data from people who test like they actually live with the phone.

Rant: Saw a real mess at the new condos on Elm Street

Check the baseboards in every room, especially where they meet the floor. If they're pulling away, that's a bad sign. Look for hairline cracks in the corners of door frames too. The floating spot is rarely alone. My old place had that, and we later found a slow leak inside the wall that ruined the subfloor. Get a good inspector to check for moisture.

I was topping a big silver maple in Springfield and my old rope snapped clean through.

Rope doesn't retire, it just quits.

Why does nobody talk about the right way to clean a sanding block?

Man, that solvent tank story is a horror show. Your brush and rag method is basically what I do, but I'm curious about the grit. Are you cleaning off the same type of sanding dust every time, or does it change? Like, cleaning drywall dust out of a block feels totally different than cleaning up after wet-sanding some primer, you know?
