I was sure a home inspection was just a formality until Tuesday
Our inspector found a crack in the foundation that wasn't visible in the basement, and the quote to fix it was over $8,000. He said, 'This is why we check the exterior grading,' and showed me how the yard sloped right toward the house. That one detail changed my whole view on the process from a box to check to the most important step. Has anyone else had an inspection find something that major in a house that looked perfect?
