My sourdough starter just hit 100 days old

I honestly didn't think I'd keep it alive past the first month, but now it's a permanent kitchen resident. I feed it with 50g each of rye flour and water every morning. Anyone else have a starter that's become a weirdly important pet?

Mine's at 450 days and I've started feeling guilty about the discard, like I'm wasting part of a living thing.

My buddy had a starter he named Bob. He kept Bob alive for years, felt bad tossing any. Eventually his fridge was just full of jars. Had to remind him it's flour and water, not a pet.
