Hot take: I saw a video from a designer in Seoul saying pockets ruin a silhouette
They were talking about how adding pockets to a dress or skirt always makes the hips look wider, so they avoid them. I get the clean line thing, but come on, where are we supposed to put our hands or a phone? I've been sketching some A-line skirt ideas with hidden side seam pockets that don't add bulk. Has anyone else found a good way to hide functional pockets without messing up the shape?

My last pair of linen trousers had pockets so deep I lost my whole hand in there and looked like a mutant. I swear the designer was trying to hide a small dog or something.
