I finally figured out why that vintage receiver kept blowing its main fuse after the third one I replaced

It was a tiny, almost invisible solder bridge on the underside of the power supply board that I only spotted after holding it at a specific angle under my bench light for a solid twenty minutes, so has anyone else had a similar ghost in the machine on an old piece of audio gear?

Man, that reminds me of a weird one I had with an old cassette deck. The left channel would just drop out, but only when the room was warm. Took me forever to find a cracked resistor leg that would open up with the heat. It's crazy how those old solder joints can hide a problem until the light hits them just right.

Only on Wednesdays, that's wild.

That "ghost in the machine" thing is everywhere. I mean, it's like my car's weird rattle that only happens on Wednesdays. You just have to find the exact right angle to see the problem.
