Why I stopped being a hard no on those laser distance measures
I always said my tape measure was fine until I had to map out 47 can light locations in a warehouse ceiling solo and the $60 Bosch laser had me done in 20 minutes flat, has anyone else caved on a tool they swore they didn't need?

Nobody ever talks about how much easier they make measuring for crown molding with those compound miter cuts. Standing on a ladder trying to hold a tape against a sloped ceiling is a nightmare, the laser just bounces off the wall and gives you the number without guessing. Plus when you're trying to map out an old house where walls are never square, being able to measure diagonals without stretching a tape across the living room is a game changer.

Standing on a ladder trying to hold a tape against a sloped ceiling" - man, I hear that, but is it really that deep? I still bust out my tape for crown molding and it takes me maybe 10 minutes longer. @the_jana, you make it sound like you're defusing a bomb up there.
