TIL a simple trick for remembering math formulas

I was struggling with geometry until my teacher in Chicago said, 'Draw it every single time.' After doing that for a week, I stopped forgetting the area equations. Anyone have other memory tricks for school stuff?

Was it actually good or just super awkward? I had a science teacher who rapped the periodic table and it was cringe but I still remember some of it.
