The week I taught a class using only a whiteboard and it worked better than any slideshow

Last month my projector died 10 minutes into a workshop on citing sources. I had 25 college kids staring at me. Grabbed a marker and just started drawing a flowchart of the research process on the whiteboard. Got them to shout out what came next. By the end people were taking photos of the board on their phones. I had that class for 4 days and ended up keeping the projector off the whole week. Has anyone else found that ditching tech actually helps people learn faster?

Man, I love this. Sometimes the simple stuff just works better.

Wait, you're saying simple stuff works better? I literally just spent three hours trying to fix a leaky faucet with duct tape and a zip tie because I refused to buy a $12 wrench. That's the exact opposite of simple, and now I have to use a bucket under the sink until I cave and get the right tool. So either you're secretly a genius plumber or my life is a mess I'm not ready to admit yet.
