Went to Home Depot yesterday and almost lost it at the light bulb aisle

I just needed a simple 60 watt equivalent LED bulb for my bathroom vanity, but there were like 40 different options all with different numbers and color temps. Soft white, daylight, bright white, tunable, smart bulbs, dimmable, not dimmable, and every single one had a different lumens rating. I stood there for 15 minutes trying to compare two boxes and a worker walked by and asked if I needed help but he looked just as confused as me lol. Why do they make something as simple as a light bulb so complicated now? I ended up grabbing a 4 pack of soft white ones for $12 and hoping they match the fixture. Has anyone else been completely overwhelmed by the light bulb section lately or is it just me?

Man I felt this in my soul. "Just looking for a damn light bulb" should be a universal experience by now. You grab the soft white ones hoping for the best, but then you get home and it's either a weird greenish tint or it flickers like a strobe light. And what gets me is even when you find the right color temp and the right lumens, you still gotta cross your fingers that the base fits right and it actually works with your dimmer switch. They really took something simple and turned it into a whole research project.

Yeah @mitchell.mark, I just grabbed a random brand and prayed. Worked out okay somehow.
