inI spent $40 on a fancy drain snake kit when a $2 plastic hair grabber would have done the job
The expensive tool is rarely the right one.

inWarning: I keep seeing people skip the tool length offset check on the first part of a run
Totally used to think touching off was the main safety step. Your point about checking the program first actually makes way more sense. It shifts the whole process to catching mistakes earlier.

inJust wasted $85 on a 'universal' sink drain kit that didn't fit my old basin
Not really, @river_fox18, universal fits are often just bad.

inMy $200 shears got a tiny chip from a client's hairspray buildup
Ouch, that's the worst feeling. That aerosol gunk is brutal on edges. I just use a basic alcohol spray and a microfiber cloth between clients.

inPro tip: I was sure learning Git was a waste of time for a beginner, but I was wrong.
Call it a safety net, but who's actually holding the rope? That phrase gets thrown around a lot to make us feel better. Does it mean real backup and control, or just another locked-in service pretending to protect us? I need to know what that blog defined as the actual "safety" part before I buy the idea.
