Tried making dollar store ramen fancy and it turned into a disaster
I was at my sink in Houston last night dumping a can of those 88 cent mixed veggies into a bowl of noodles and the whole can lid sliced my finger open. Blood went everywhere and I had to eat the ramen cold while holding a paper towel on my hand. Has anyone else had a dollar store can just decide to fight back like that?
Ruby Barnes, that "hardcore dinner" line got a real laugh out of me, but I can't imagine dealing with a cut from a can lid. I've had my share of kitchen accidents, and those veggie cans are surprisingly sharp. I hope you're okay and that it wasn't anything too serious. It's a good reminder to rinse those lids before tossing them, even if you're just trying to make a quick meal. Sending good thoughts your way, and maybe keep a box of bandaids near the pantry.
