After 15 years of painting trim, I finally realized I was using the wrong brush angle the whole time
It took a neighbor doing the same job in half the time for me to see how a 2.5 inch angled sash brush cuts a line way cleaner than the flat ones I always bought for $8 at the hardware store, has anyone else had that kind of wake-up call with a tool you thought you knew?

Man, 15 years? That one got me. I remember my dad handing me a flat brush for the deck when I was a kid and telling me that's what you use for everything. It wasn't until I watched a YouTube video last year where a guy did a perfect line between the wall and trim with a 2.5 inch angled sash that I felt like a total fool. Did you have to go back and redo any of your old work after you switched?

Damn, 15 years? That's rough. I switched to a 2.5 inch angled Purdy after watching a pro do baseboards in like 20 minutes. The trick for me was loading the brush right - just the tip of the bristles, not all the way up the ferrule. Gives way more control and way less drip cleanup.
