That old guy at Home Depot who watched me pour cold patch in the rain
He waited until I finished the whole bag in a drizzle, then said 'you just sealed water into that crack,' and sure enough it popped back out four days later, so now I check the forecast for 72 hours of dry before I even mix a bucket, has anyone else had a repair fail because of a surprise shower?

Three years ago I would've laughed at that old timer, but after my fence post holes filled with water from a sudden storm and the concrete crumbled by spring, I check the radar every single time now.
