Had the worst driveway crack sealing day of my life last Tuesday

I spent 4 hours with a $30 bottle of hot pour crack filler from Home Depot in Phoenix and every single crack I filled just bled out into a bigger mess when temps hit 108 that afternoon. Has anyone else had this stuff fail completely in desert heat or did I just get a bad batch from the clearance rack?

Blow it all out with compressed air first next time, that stuff needs a clean crack to grab onto.

Wait, is that why my windshield cracked again after I patched it last month? I spent a whole afternoon on that thing, got it all nice and dry, but I never thought about hitting it with some air first. @noah_rivera57 you might be onto something there. Reminds me of when I tried to glue a ceramic mug back together years ago and it held for like a week, then split right down the same seam. I figured I just didn't use enough glue, but now I think it was all that dust in the crack doing its own thing. Guess I gotta add compressed air to the list of stuff I never actually have in my garage.
