PSA: I was overfilling my oil for years until a mechanic friend called me out.
He saw me pour the whole 5-quart jug into my Civic and said 'You're gonna blow a seal, check the dipstick after 4 quarts.' I started doing that and my engine runs quieter now. How many of you actually check the dipstick every single oil change?
