TIL my garage shelf bracket could hold 50 pounds but not 51
My shelf collapsed last Saturday under a tub of old paint cans right as I walked past it. I ended up building a new one with 2x4s and a level, has anyone else had a similar fail with those little metal brackets?

It's like everything in life is designed for 'good enough' until you find the exact breaking point, seems like nobody builds anything to actually last anymore.

Yeah I used to be the guy who said "they don't make em like they used to" was just old people complaining. But after my fridge died at 4 years old and the repair cost more than a new one I get it now. This whole disposable economy finally got me to see the other side.
