Got called out for my sloppy miter saw dust collection setup

Honestly, a guy at the lumber yard saw my old setup and said 'You're just blowing that fine dust back into your face, man.' I switched to a proper 4-inch hose and a bucket lid separator, and my shop air is way clearer now. Anyone have a better trick for catching that super fine stuff before it hits the shop vac filter?

Oh man, I saw a video where a guy added a second bucket with a furnace filter on top. It catches the super fine dust the cyclone misses. Looked pretty cheap to set up.

Forget the furnace filter, that's gonna clog in like five minutes. The real move is using a cheap electrostatic air filter from a big box store. Cut it to fit the bucket, it catches way more fine stuff without killing airflow. Saw a guy run his sander into a setup like that for an hour and the filter still looked clean. Way less hassle than replacing paper filters all the time.
