Warning: I think everyone's obsession with Bali for nomads is a bit much.

I used to chase the 'perfect' nomad spots like Canggu, but after a month in Da Nang, Vietnam, I realized I prefer cheaper rent and fewer crowds. Has anyone else found a better base that gets less hype?

My third month in Chiang Mai was the best. I got a decent studio near the old city for under $300, and the local food markets were way better than any coworking space cafe. The pace just felt right, not like the constant hustle in Bali. Have you looked at northern Thailand at all?

Yeah the "pace just felt right" part really hits home. I did a month in Canggu last year and the pressure to always be grinding was exhausting. Chiang Mai sounds perfect for actually getting work done without that background noise.
