Spent a month in Lisbon and realized the whole nomad vibe is fake
I was in Lisbon last March and every cafe I went to was packed with people staring at laptops, but nobody was actually talking to each other or exploring the city... It felt more like a remote office park than a community of travelers. Are we all just paying extra to work in a sunny cubicle?

The Starbucks near Rossio had like 40 people on Zoom calls at 2pm on a Tuesday. Is it really that deep though? You can still do nomad stuff if you want, but most people just want a change of scenery while doing their 9-5. Not everyone is trying to live some Eat Pray Love fantasy.

Totally agree with you @stone.troy, I was in that same Starbucks last week and counted at least 25 laptops out. It's just remote work with better weather, not some spiritual journey.
