inJust realized how skipping paper grain checks can ruin a bind
Come on, is a scrapbook falling apart really that big of a deal? It's just some paper and glue, not a car engine. You can always stick the pages back in, right @kai_rodriguez? People act like a craft project is some huge life failure. It's fixable, or just start over.

inThrew out a whole can of spray paint because I didn't shake it enough
Guess my patience for shaking paint is as thin as the first coat was. @emeryp23 has the right idea with the timer, but I just see a lumpy wall and panic. My home projects are a masterclass in frustration.

inA customer in Dayton asked me why I was sanding a spot he couldn't even see.
My buddy had a client like that, a guy who only cared about the visible surface. Thing is, that hidden spot was the start of a rust bubble, and fixing it right meant sanding it all out. The customer didn't get it until my friend showed him a picture six months later of a huge hole in the same spot on another car.

inI spent 3 hours trying to get my first Python script to run because I forgot a colon
I used to think those errors were a big deal... but now I just expect them and check the basics first.

inTIL most commercial sauerkraut isn't truly fermented
Totally, that cloudy juice is the real sign. I tried the fake vinegar kind once and it was just sad, like a weird sweet pickle juice. The Bubbies stuff has that deep sour taste that actually builds the more you eat. I mean, it makes a basic sandwich feel like a meal. Once you go back to the real fermented kind, there's just no comparison.
