TIL my injector cups were leaking for 6 months before I caught it
Pulled the valve cover on a 6.7 Cummins and saw tiny rust trails around number 4 and 5. The fuel was washing the cylinder walls just enough to show up as a 15 psi drop in compression on cold starts. Anybody else find injector cup leaks that way or am I the only guy not using a scanner?

15 psi drop on a cold start sounds a lot like you're just chasing a ghost. I've seen way worse leaks that barely moved the needle.

Come on, 15 psi drop on a cold start is actually a pretty solid indicator. I've seen a leak that small ruin fuel trims and throw a lean code eventually, so it's worth chasing down.
