Hit 200 yards of concrete in one day and my knees are screaming
Poured a big driveway in Austin last Tuesday, 200 yards by myself with a two man crew helping finish. Had to use a hand trowel for the last hour because my power trowel battery died on me. Any of you guys ever hit a number like that and regret not renting a bigger machine?

That "power trowel dying on you at the end" part is rough, but I think the real issue nobody mentions is the hydration and electrolyte balance. When you're pushing that hard for that long, your muscles lock up way faster, and no amount of knee pads will save you if your body is running on empty.

Man I used to think hand finishing was fine for big slabs but that 200 yard day changed my mind real quick. Power trowel dying on you at the end is brutal.
