Can we talk about our library's $5 flat fee versus the old hourly rental model?

We switched in Boulder after a grant and member checkouts DOUBLED because people actually take the pressure washer for a full day now. Anyone else see a big jump after ditching hourly charges?

My buddy in Springfield said their library started a three dollar tool rental. He borrowed a drill for a weekend project and actually finished it for once.

How many half-finished projects do you have sitting around because you didn't want to buy a specific tool? My garage is basically a graveyard for good intentions. A library doing tool rentals is honestly genius.
