That $600 drysuit repair kit that just made things worse

I spent 600 bucks on a high end drysuit repair kit last month thinking it would save me from sending my suit back to the factory for a small tear. Big mistake. The patch pulled off after two dives and now I got a bigger leak than before. I should have just paid the 150 to get it professionally patched. Now I'm out the money and still have a broken suit. The kit came with all these fancy tools but the adhesive just didn't hold up in cold water. Has anyone else had luck with DIY drysuit fixes or is it always a waste?

Oh man, 600 bucks for a patch kit that made things worse, that's a rough one. I tried fixing a small hole in my wetsuit with superglue once and ended up gluing the whole thing to my leg. DIY repairs sound good until you're standing in cold water watching bubbles come out of a spot that wasn't even a leak before.

Superglue on skin is the worst, but try a neoprene cement patch and let it fully dry first, that fixed my old suit.
