My team debates whether yoga helps with dive flexibility or just wastes time

Some divers say yoga prevents back pain from heavy gear, but others think pre-dive stretches are sufficient, so what's your take?

I held a downward dog for 30 seconds last week and my back felt better for the first time in months. You might be doing it wrong honestly. Charles if you're flopping around like a fish out of water that's not yoga your back is gonna hate you for it. The trick is slow controlled movements not trying to twist yourself into a pretzel on day one.
