My friend swore by adding a pinch of salt to his coffee grounds
I thought it was total nonsense until I tried it last Tuesday with my morning pour over. I used maybe 1/8th of a teaspoon for a 20g dose of a really acidic Ethiopian bean. The change was wild, it totally smoothed out the sharp bite without making it taste salty. I've done it three mornings in a row now and I'm a convert. Has anyone else tried this weird trick with different brew methods?

My grandma used to put a tiny bit of salt in her cheap instant coffee to cut the bitterness.
