Couldn't decide between a French press and a pour over for my morning brew
I was stuck picking a new method for my daily coffee. The French press seemed easier, but the pour over looked cleaner. I went with the pour over kit from a local shop for about $25. After a week of practice, my cups are way brighter and I don't miss the sludge at the bottom. Anyone have tips for getting the grind size just right with a basic hand grinder?

Honestly, how long did it take you to get used to the extra cleanup time?

Totally get what you mean about missing the sludge. That was the biggest game changer for me too. Getting the grind right on a hand grinder is a pain but worth it. I found a medium-fine grind, like table salt, works best for my pour over. It took me a few bad, bitter cups to figure it out. Just make small changes each time and you'll lock it in.
