Finally got my brioche dough to pass the windowpane test on the first mix, after 6 months of it tearing.

That's a huge win, congrats. Getting that gluten to finally develop right is such a good feeling. I've had recipes fight me for months too, makes the success way sweeter. Totally worth the struggle for that perfect texture.
