That cheap seam sealer burned me bad on a living room job in Philly
I figured I'd save a few bucks and grabbed a no-name seam sealer for $12 off Amazon instead of my usual $30 Roberts stuff. Total disaster. The seams started peeling up after just two weeks in a high-traffic living room in South Philly. Spent 6 hours ripping it out and redoing the whole thing with the good stuff. I'm pretty sure the cheap one was just watered down glue. Has anyone else had bad luck with the bargain brand seam sealers?

Watered down glue" pretty much sums it up. I bet they just dumped some Elmer's in a bottle and called it a day. Spent six hours fixing it? I would have torched the whole floor and claimed it on insurance. At least you learned the lesson the hard way like the rest of us. Cheap seam sealer is just asking for a second date with your knees and a scraper.

Saw a flooring guy say the same stuff in a DIY group.
