Had a seam split wide open on a 20 foot stretch in a Scottsdale living room last summer, 110 degrees outside and the AC was off.

Man, that dry heat just sucks the life out of everything.

Actually, @kelly338, dry heat is way easier on your body than humidity (your sweat actually cools you down). It just feels intense because there's no moisture in the air. Give me a desert day over a swampy one any time.
