PSA: I was setting up my tent wrong for a whole year

I always struggled with the rainfly sagging until a ranger at Yellowstone saw me and said, 'Your guy lines are backwards.' I had the tensioners on the wrong end, so they couldn't tighten properly. Anyone else have a basic setup thing they totally missed?

My cousin's deck looked like a rollercoaster after they tried that, no joke. Took three contractors to fix what one weekend warrior messed up. The whole support structure was basically just hopes and dreams. I saw the pictures and actually felt bad for the lumber, lmao.
