Switched from fish tape to glow rods a year ago and never looked back

Glow rods changed everything for me too, I can't believe I fought with fish tape for so many years. That extra stiffness really makes a difference when you're trying to push through tight spaces or around corners. Once you switch you'll never want to go back.

My cousin borrowed my glow rods last spring to run some speaker wire in his basement and ended up using them to unclog his gutters instead. Said they were perfect for poking leaves loose from the downspout. Now his wife keeps them in the garage with the gardening tools and he bought his own set for actual electrical work. Funny how good tools always find new uses around the house. I keep a spare set in my truck just in case, though I still grab the old fish tape when I need something really flexible. Both have their place, I guess.
