Took me 3 hours to figure out a drawer slide that was off by 1/8 inch

Measured three times, cut once, still had a drawer that wouldn't close right. Ended up shimming the back rail and it took less than 5 minutes to fix once I stopped being stubborn.

Shimming is REAL handy but sometimes you just need to START OVER and cut a new piece.

Yeah "START OVER" is definitely something I've had to learn the hard way. Had a fence project last summer where I tried to shim a post three times before I realized the whole thing was just slightly off. By the time I gave up and cut a new one, I had already spent like an hour messing with shims that weren't gonna fix it anyway. Sometimes you just gotta swallow your pride and go back to square one. Or in this case, back to the lumber pile.
