Fixing a drip at home changed how I handle business upkeep

I had a slow drip in my bathroom faucet that wasted water for weeks. When I finally fixed it, I saw how small issues can lead to big costs over time. Now I'm looking at my business gear (like ladders and saws) to set up a simple weekly look-over. How do you folks manage regular upkeep to stop small problems from growing?

Seriously, you let that drip go for WEEKS? That's just BONKERS to me. In my painting business, a loose screw on a ladder is the same kind of ticking time bomb. We have a strict five minute gear check every Friday before we clock out. Lets us spot problems before they turn into a costly disaster or, worse, someone gets hurt. It's all about making it a routine, no excuses.

But is weekly check really needed? @skyler526 sounds over the top.
