inShoutout to the pet owner who saved my drop ceiling job
Training seems like it could work just as well long term, even if it takes more effort at first. Goldens are smart enough to learn "leave it" if you're consistent. The ball trick is clever for quick fixes, but feels like giving up on teaching the dog proper gym manners.

inTIL that engine noise helped me spot a leak before it got bad
Wish I'd known that before replacing my entire AC system last summer.

inGot a win today with a stubborn ground fault in an old building.
Saw a thread once where an old timer swore by using antioxidant paste on those cleaned-up pipe connections. He said the stuff they use for aluminum wiring stops the green gunk from coming back so fast. I keep a tube in my bag now for any old work. Ever give that a try?

inOur book club banned celebrity memoirs and it saved our discussions
Totally get this. My old club had the same issue with memoirs feeling too surface level. We started picking novels where the characters make truly messed up choices, like "The Secret History" or "Gone Girl." Forces everyone to pick a side and defend it. Even a simple question like "was this character right to do that?" can split the room for a full hour. Makes the meeting way more fun when people are actually debating instead of just saying they liked the writing style.

inShoutout to crews using plant-based creosote removers
Tried that once and made a volcano in my kitchen sink.
