Oh please, that guide overreacted big time. So a kid touches some old pottery shard, it's not the end of the world. Those clues archaeologists talk about are probably long gone already from weather and tourists. People get so uptight about every little thing, it sucks the fun right out of a family trip. Let the kid be curious, that's how they learn. If we treat every historic spot like a sterile lab, nobody will care about history anyway.
