My minimalist layout actually made me hate journaling for 2 months

I stripped my bullet journal down to just the basics last year, no trackers or collections at all. Honestly, I ended up with like 10 empty pages and zero motivation to open the thing every day. Did anyone else find that too much structure or too little both kill the habit?

That stripped down approach just killed my whole routine too. I tried it for a month and ended up staring at blank pages like a dummy. Having nothing to fill in made me forget why I even started journaling in the first place. I need some structure to keep me going, but not so much it feels like homework. Finding that middle ground is tough.

Oh man, I feel this hard. What saved me was keeping one tiny tracker (like just mood or sleep) so there's always something to do, but leaving the rest of the page wide open.
