My friend laughed at my habit tracker and it made me rethink everything

I showed my bujo to my friend Sarah last weekend and she said my habit tracker looked like prison logs. She pointed out I had 14 tiny boxes for things like "drink water" and "floss" and none of them actually changed my behavior. Has anyone else had a moment where someone outside the community made you realize you were overcomplicating things?

My 14th day of tracking water intake was the day I finally admitted I was just coloring in boxes for fun, not actually changing anything. Sarah's comment about "prison logs" actually made me laugh because she was right, I was just checking off "take vitamins" at midnight while eating cereal in bed. The weird thing is I still use trackers but now I keep it to 3 things max and I give myself permission to skip days without feeling guilty. That one outside perspective really cut through all the washi tape and colored pens I was using to hide the fact that it wasn't working.

@viola171 That midnight vitamin thing hits hard, I switched to a whiteboard and it actually stuck for me.
