The joint spacing shortcut that backfired on my last project

I skipped using spacers to save time on a garden wall. The lines were so crooked it was obvious from the street. Never making that mistake again.

honestly how bad could it have been though? it's a garden wall, not the louvre. most people walking by are looking at their phones anyway. seems like the kind of thing only you would ever notice after the fact.
