Actually, a lot of that big efficiency jump came from better hardware too, not just smarter cooling. Newer server designs just use way less power from the start. It all adds up to those huge savings you read about.

Seriously, interference like that drives me nuts. I mean, I had a call where a microwave was killing the signal every time it ran. Or like, when cables are too close to power lines, you get the same flickering. Maybe try using shielded cable or just moving it a few inches away. Idk, it's always some random thing you don't think about at first. You just have to rule out all the odd stuff, you know?
