Just realized my cheap plastic bowl was ruining my sourdough folds

I used a big plastic mixing bowl for months, but the dough always stuck to the sides and tore when I tried to fold it. Switched to a stainless steel one I had in the back of the cabinet and the dough just slides right off, making the whole process way smoother. Anyone have a favorite bowl that doesn't fight you?

Lol "doesn't fight you" is the perfect way to put it. My first attempts were in a cheap plastic salad bowl and I thought I was just terrible at this. Turns out the bowl was the real villain.

Wait, is it the plastic itself or the shape? In my experience, those cheap bowls are often too shallow and slick. A ceramic mixing bowl with a curved bottom and some texture gives the dough something to grab onto. The plastic ones just let everything slide around in a frustrating way.
